Instead of having three big meals a day, like I’ve been doing, I’m going to have to have six smaller meals a day all spaced out evenly from each other. This will make sure my metabolism is constantly working and it never lets my body go into starvation mode. The hardest part about the six meals a day is going to be my work schedule. I’m not on a constant schedule, I work part time at McDonalds so I’m constantly working different shifts every day of the week. Once I can figure out a way to get past this problem I’ll be golden.

First off, I’m going to need to count my calories, fat, carbs and protein intake. I’m going to have to closely monitor what I’m eating to make sure I’m getting enough carbs in the morning, very low fat, a lot of protein so that I don’t lose any gains and enough calories so that I’m still able to push myself during workouts.

The main foods my diet is going to consist of are:
1. Sesame seed oil
2. Salmon
3. White Kidney Beans
4. Green Tea
5. Vegetables
6. Flaxseed Oil
7. Grapefruits
8. Boneless Skinless Chicken
9. Turkey Breast
10. Lean ground beef

Just to name a few. I’m planning on posting more of what I’m eating when I start showing some progress.

Theoretical Workout;

So setting up my upcoming fat-loss workout I’m aiming for high heart rate for my entire workout, lower my weights so that I can get more reps, perfect form and muscle failure. I’m also implementing supersets and I’m taking a note from P90x and going to incorporate muscle confusion when doing the sets. Change the speed, incline and grip where applicable. I’m also going to try and get to the gym early in the morning, hopefully half hour to an hour after I wake up.

Theoretical Workout;
Start every day with 10 minutes of light cardio; light jogging and stretching.

Try to max everything)
Weeks 13, 14, 15 4x7 (Slow movements)

"You who swallowed a falling star, o’ heartless man, your heart shall soon be mine."

““You who swallowed a falling star, o’ heartless man, your heart shall soon be mine.””

There's somewhere I haven't been in a while;

Right here.
I’m on a train on my way to Toronto to see my wonderful girlfriend who’s going to school there. As my attempts to procrastinate from doing my homework diminish I was pondering what I could do to keep myself from doing random math equations and tumblr crossed my mind. So here I am.
Like I said I’m on my way to see the girlfriend in Toronto and it’s about a four hour train ride from Windsor. I’m not that bummed out due to the time that it’s going to take to get there, but I am bummed out because originally I though I’d have this nice luxurious seat all to myself. Once we stopped in the first town my excitement was horribly destroyed when someone decided to sit next to me. I also am very paranoid that she’s going to look over and see how furious I am that she sat next to me.
On another note; The Wifi on this damn train is killer! It’s downloading at 1.5MB/s which, on a good day, is almost double the speed of my wifi at home. Not to mention that I pay for the Wifi at home… So I immediately opened up steam and looked at all the games I never played and immediately put them into a downloading que and am going to finally get to play some of those huge games I’ve always been weary of downloading. The only problem with my free game theory is that I can’t play games while others are downloading or else it pauses the download… Which kinda sucks, but for free bandwidth I’ll find something else to entertain my time

It's been such a long time;

Since I actually wrote anything on tumblr.
It gets kinda easy to forget about an online blog site when you’re not strapped to a computer for days on end anymore.
My summer started about a month or so ago and I’ve been enjoying every minute of it. I’ve been outside more this month than I have in the past three years and I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve got so much more energy from running around all day. The only complaint I have right now is just my work schedule mostly because they just schedule me at random times when people book off a day. I can’t really get into a routine because one day I’ll be mornings then the next I’ll be closing and it gets frustrating, but I’m not going to let it bring down my summer.
This summer me and my friends have been getting into Footbag! It’s amazing, I’ve been ordering Dragonfly footbags for a while now and because of it I’m loving this game immensely. I’ve got 8 footbags, all different colors, with different number of panels, fillings and weights. They’ve definitely become my new hobby and I couldn’t be happier because it’s getting me active, outside and getting me some much needed sun. I’m definitely going to play this game all summer and just become some kind of crazy freestyle footbag guy.

Hacky Head!

Hacky Head!

Photo

Photo

Those awkward moments;

When you’re suppose to be getting healthy and instead you get sick.
So yesterday was day one of my P90X workouts. I was wrong. I ended up getting sick at work and not able to do anything for the rest of the night. I don’t know if it had something to do with the food I was eating, or possibly the heat in the kitchen, the amount I ate or possibly even some sort of virus that I just acquired and got rid of in a day. Today I feel much better, seems that my body is recovered mostly. I still have a tiny pain, almost unnoticeable, in my stomach but I do also feel dehydrated and get very mild anxiety when I think of preparing any warm food.
I guess today is going to be a day of cereal, peanut butter and possibly ice cream, until tomorrow when I should be 100% better and able to do the P90X workout. I’m seriously debating dropping the nutrition guide all together. I’m not going to keep up my normal diet of three square meals of McDonald’s a day, but instead eat better with a lot of boneless skinless chicken breast and protein and carbs.

Standing on the backs;

Of Angels.
In two days I’m starting my P90X workout so I decided to relax my next couple days. In doing so I’ve downloaded the entire Daria series. I remember watching this series when I was really young and I know I’ve never understood it before. When I first started up my tumblr account I was looking for people to follow and I saw Daria on Tumblr so I was like “Why not?” After a few months I saw a lot of posts about how dark and depressing and absolutely hilarious this show is.

I’m also one day away from starting P90X. I’ve been going over all the things I need to do for this routine; making my meal plan, planning out my days and getting everything I need ready for the following day to ensure I’m doing everything correct and according to the guide. I was also going over the books again and I noticed they recommend that you keep a daily log of your eating and workout and just write down your thoughts and how you feel and basically everything that will help you track your progress through the 90 days. So I’m going to start a tumblr dedicated to that. I’m planning on posting the before, after and every 30 days pictures of myself, my workout room, my meals, supplements and everything P90X related to just remind myself how I’m doing and how much time and effort I’ve put into this if I ever become bored of doing so. It’s gonna be real fun.

Photo

Just like the crow chasing the butterfly;

dandelions lost in the summer sky.
Shinedown, a bit of a refreshing change from the gigs of rap I’ve been listening to for some time now.
Today, for me, is one of those days where you wish you never left your bed in the morning. It’s one of those days where every little thing bothers you, mostly while thinking. The only problem is the things that stress me out while I’m thinking make no sense. I’ll be thinking of what I want to eat later and the decision, for some stupid reason, is so hard for me to make because I’m so indecisive today that it frustrates me. So for a good portion of my evening I was dazed in front of the television, mind completely off. I couldn’t continue like that, because if I did the communists win. I’m not sure how but I’ll keep myself updated on that matter.
I finally found the courage to brew myself a pot of coffee, get off my lazy ass and write this, for reasons beyond my level of understanding. I couldn’t really figure out how doing a bit of writing was going to solve anything. I guess it’s mostly to just kill time while the most recent episodes of How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory buffer. I know, I’m wondering the same thing; how is getting off the couch and out from in front of the television to move to a less comfortable location and watch television shows on your computer more constructive? I have no idea… But it did give me some time to plan my night which is going to be composed of this word composition, television shows on my computer, a cup of coffee and the some reading before I’m off to bed around 10 because I’m stuck working mornings now. Yay life.

Everybody knows;

I’m a motherf*ckin’ monster!
Actually very few people know that. But everyone does know Dead Space is full of monsters. Seriously I just bought this game and started playing it.. It’s scary as hell. This game is going to take a while to beat. Not because it’s hard, but because I can only play it during the hours when the sun is out. I’m a lot more frightened by supernatural than reality. Sure I’m afraid someone’s gonna break into my house at night, steal all my stuff, eat all my food and take a dump on the carpet but I don’t go to bed fearing that. I fear zombies, mutants, venom shooting plants and demons from the deepest darkest depths of hell.
Back to Dead Space.. It’s a really good game thus far. I always like the games where you get to upgrade your weapons and armor and all that crap. There is a downside I’ve already noticed to this game, the movement.. I don’t know if the developers tried to make it hard to walk in attempt to simulate actual human movement or it’s just something they didn’t put a lot of thought into. Also the hand to hand combat in the game. When you get ambushed by on of the mutant things charging at you then jumped by one of the things crawling around in the air ducts, you can’t bash one with your hands then immediately pull out your gun to shoot at the other. In games like Halo, Red Dead, CoD even Shank you can punch someone in the face then within a second pull out your gun again and start shooting. It adds a great tactical aspect to any game when you’re able to control several enemies.
This is what I’ve just been getting out of this game so far. Maybe you can upgrade yourself to become AWESOME and able to multitask in combat. Maybe they’ve fixed it in number 2.. Only time will tell.

I want to;

Break free! Break free from these exams and school for the year!
So I’ve finally finished my exams, and school, for the year. This means I’m going to have a lot more me time. I was hoping my summer was going to be filled with nothing but sleeping in, work in the afternoon and hanging out with my friends during the night. Seems like I’m not going to get my typical summer this year. I’ve started getting a bunch of morning shifts at work, plus I’m starting P90X. There goes half my day already. It does seem like I’m going to get my nights to hang out with friends, but if I keep getting morning shifts I’m not going to be able to hang out with them all night.
On the bright side.. er.. I guess darker side, Steam is currently having a sale of Dead Space and Dead Space 2. I ended up doing what I always do when I see a game that’s on sale for 75% off.. I contact my friends, see if they played it, and if so what they thought about it, and read reviews online. My friends and online reviews both said it’s a good game and with a Meta score or 86 on Steam I could believe it. Everyone also mentioned to me that it’s scary as hell, but come on… It’s a video game… I guess Doom was pretty scary, and this is pretty much the same game only a bit different. You’re in space on a repair ship sent to repair a distressed space mining ship. One thing leads to another and you’re off fighting a bunch of zombified space humans.. Clearly there’s a lot of thought, planning and back stories that have gone into the development of this story.

'Muricans;

So I’m dog sitting right now for my sister’s dog and I’m sitting in front of the television. Since recently something happened with the cable we don’t get all the channels I’m used to so I put on CW50, a channel out of Detroit. I’m watching a show called America’s Court and there’s a case between a son and his mother. The son is suing the mother because she hacked his social networking site, posted false information that in turn caused emotional trauma which is going to years of therapy to correct. He’s suing for her $2,400… ‘Muricans…

So here's my thought process;

I’m going to do a P90X workout today since it’s windy as hell and I don’t feel like running in this shit. I was flipping through the videos I got and I saw Yoga X. I thought that since I’m not following the nutrition guide and this isn’t technically me starting my 90 days that I’d just go and do some nice simple yoga. I was wrong as all hell. First off the yoga video is an hour and a half long, and within 10 minutes of pressing play I was sweating and realizing how inflexible I am. So I quickly got out of that video and did something I was more use to and could do a lot easier, Chest and Back. I lasted half an hour in this program, but I’ve got a lot of work cut out for me.
I was talking to my mom about how much money I’ve invested into this workout and how much more I was going to have to throw into it to follow the guide exactly. I think she felt bad for me because she offered to donate some money for some of the supplements recommended in the guide book.
All that said I’m only a few days away from the 90 day workout that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.

Photo

No one man;

Should have all that power.
Last night I was prepping for my P90X workouts. I was reading through the booklets and pamphlets and nutrition guide. After paying the initial $140.00 for the actual workout dvds and the guides there’s other things you need to buy. It recommends a heart rate monitor, polymeric mat, push up things, pull up bar, and a bunch of supplements and proteins. Going over everything that I’m going to need to purchase, I have a rough estimate that I’m going to need to spend $265.00 - $300.00 on all the additional things I’m going to need to properly do this workout. People were saying that I don’t need the recommended supplements, but I figure if I’m paying all that money for the workout dvds and the equipment I might as well send the extra $100.00 and do this right.
It doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to start until my Credit card resets next month. So 90 days from May first will be my P90X workout.

Watch out;

It’s that one guy.
I was at Chapters book store the other day waiting to pick my sister up from work; I was looking around seeing about books that I would consider reading. I went over to the graphic novel section, which is also located right next to the fiction section (Convenient!) and I was looking through the graphic novels. I picked up none other than Scott Pilgrim. I only bought volume 1 thinking it would last a couple days. I finished it in less than an hour. It was great though, volume 1 goes to where Scott fights Matthew Patel. The graphic novel is almost word for word like the movie, with key differences. The graphic novel does some parts better than the Scott Pilgrim movie, where as the movie has some better lines than the Graphic novel.
Overall unimpressed that I killed this book in an hour, but it was well worth it.
As I was walking out of chapters another book caught my eye, it was a book that I had heard was being made into a motion picture. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I couldn’t turn that down. It’s obviously fiction about how Abraham Lincoln lived in time where there were vampires and how he was a natural born Vampire slayer and how he needs to keep the world safe from vampires or something along those lines. It looks good and promises a laugh or two. Also think about it, if I read the book before the movie comes out I could be like “Yeah, the book was totally better than the movie” like a sir.

Ninety Days;

Training with Tony Horton.
Tomorrow I’m going to buy P90X which is a set of workout videos/Nutrition Guide by Tony Horton. I used to sit in my room late at night, playing WoW and watching infomercials; night after night I saw this one which was P90X and it ran for about 15 minutes and it guarantees results. A lot of people on the infomercial said their inspiring story about how P90X changed their lives and had pictures showing the dramatic change. I also thought to myself that the pictures could be photoshopped and these people hired actors. So I went online and looked through a bunch of forums and found a lot of people that claim to have done P90X and strongly recommend it. I was still weary about buying the program considering its price and was still unsure about the results.
I was at work one day and the guys I work with were talking about working out and their diets and stuff so I brought up P90X and the one guy I work with he said that he does it once a year. I started talking to him about it and he really recommends it, he said it’s really challenging but definitely worth the money. I told him that I just really wanted to see results and tone my body, he proceeded to lift up his shirt and show me his six-pack. That definitely sold me on P90X
So the next 90 days I’m going to be monitoring my progress, measurements, body weight, food intake and just how I feel overall.
